I was starting a tibial plateau and the scrub tech teaching a new hire behind me was pointing to her specific instrument layout:
"You'll have to indulge me a little bit, these are just a few of my anal things."


My parents called to see how my current rotation (which has free food) was going...


When the ER attending says we have to do a grade 1 open fracture emergently at 3 AM because 'their literature says so'...

My self reflection on my clavicle analogy I came up with on the spot last night. It went something like this:

Patient: "But doctor, my clavicle is pretty displaced, how does it heal like that?
Me: "Sir, the ends of your clavicle...they're like two star crossed lovers in the night.  They will find each other... and they will... become one."
