Trying to do homework on pediatric limb deformity.  This continues to be my experience...

This is kind of my thought as a third year on operative abscess i/d's...

We just finished a lecture set on pediatric deformity correction...

So I asked a patient if they had had any other abscesses before.  'Yeah, on my taint. I couldn't see it, so my girl popped it for me...'

I had a hip abscess the other day, it was quite large...

I forgot to sort the list the other day. My seniors response...

I asked some of the clinic staff if I could borrow some supplies for a floor patient...

We get a cafeteria allowance at county that resets at the beginning of the month.  I have quite a bit left...my next meals will go like this...

I was about leave the other day at 7PM, and the PA informs me that an open tib/fib just came in...

I got asked by the ED if their midshaft humerus reduction was okay.  Looking at the xray...

Anytime one of the nursing staff brings doughnuts for their floor...

I asked an inmate with a fight-bite why he punched the other guy. 'There was 2 of them, one of me, and...

Pretty much every conversation with the nurses and PA's lately....

PA: 'Its okay, but I pretty much just like the tip.'

So I just texted an attending about something after midnight...I'm hoping tomorrow doesn't end up like this...

So I was doing a distal radius with an attending the other day, and while putting in one of the locking screws...I missed...the plate...

We get 6 months of research 3rd year. This is what I picture it being like....

At county, you operate 3 weeks out of the month, and do nothing but floorwork for the other week.  My senior asked me if I was excited to be starting floors...

 I haven't quite figured out county's scrub pants sizing yet.  On one hand, the extra larges fit like this...


















Yet the large's fit like this...

Sigh.

 Attending: 'So...you've only thrown 3 stitches since we started talking, huh?'

I'm just trying to submit an article for publication....

I did my first solo case today... not gonna lie, I felt pretty gangsta.
