The ACS senior told me a patient was clear for surgery and totally stable so we transferred them to ortho.  The patient was anemic, tachycardic, possible new lung issues, and didn't want a transfusion...

I submitted a consult saying to discharge a patient as an ED attending called to inform me they were admitting to our service...

So my senior today took me aside before we started surgery and said 'I've never done one of these, you'll have to walk me through it'...
